« I am having a great time learning and improving my French with Marina.
I have been living in France for three years, but my French was limited. I hadn’t had the chance to really practice my French since we speak English at my workplace, and most of my friends are non-French.
I wanted to improve my French, specifically speaking French. I took some group classes, but I felt that I was not improving, so I decided that having a one-on-one teacher would be better for me. I tried a couple of one-on-one sessions previously with two other French teachers, but I felt their teaching style just doesn’t work for me.
My friend recommended me Tick Talk, and I’ve enjoyed each session. I am currently doing a 1-hour French session per week with Marina. During the session I practice speaking French and at the same time I learn grammar and new vocabularies. I appreciate the optional homework since it helps me practice and refresh what I learned.
Overall, I feel much more comfortable speaking French now. I make mistakes and I still need a lot of improvement, but I now feel really confident approaching someone and asking them questions in French. »
